A $55,558 top prize on a “Cash Box Bingo” Scratchers ticket was claimed by a mother and daughter at Missouri Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City on Nov. 5.

“What we do is put our money together to buy tickets,” the mother explained. “(My daughter) always buys those $3 tickets.” 

“Yeah, I like the $3 Bingo and Crossword Scratchers tickets,” the daughter added.

The win came as a shock to both of them.

“My daughter comes screaming and started crying, ‘We got it!’” the mother laughed.

They shared plans to use their winnings to pay off vehicles and purchase a fixer-upper home.

The winning ticket was purchased at FastLane, 600 Highway 24 E., in Moberly.

To date, players have won more than $4.9 million in prizes playing the $3 “Cash Box Bingo” Scratchers game, with more than $6.4 million in prizes yet to be claimed – including two additional $55,558 top prizes.

In FY25, Randolph County players won more than $5.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $475,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $1.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
