$1.2 Million Lotto Jackpot Winners 'In Shock and Awe'

Nov 24, 2025

A $1.2 million Lotto jackpot prize was claimed at the Missouri Lottery’s Jefferson City regional office Nov. 14. The winning ticket, purchased at Perryville Motomart, 1300 S. Perryville Blvd. in Perryville, matched all six Missouri Lotto numbers drawn on July 26. The winning numbers were 5, 9, 16, 23, 31 and 32.

Though the winners just claimed their prize, they had discovered they’d won the jackpot just a few days following the drawing after seeing it covered on the news.

“I checked the winning numbers first, then scanned the ticket at a local store,” the husband shared, noting his initial disbelief. “I just kept checking it. Did I read it wrong? Did I get the date wrong? I even restarted the computer!”

His wife recalled the moment he shared the news with her.

“He called me and said, ‘I need to come home. We need to talk,’” she explained. “I asked, ‘What’s wrong?’ and he said, ‘Nothing’s wrong! I’m on my way. We were in shock and awe.”

“It’s going to be used for our future,” he added.

In FY25, players who purchased tickets in Perry County won more than $4.9 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Lottery retailers in the county received more than $390,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $930,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
